This set-up information refers to Pegasus version 3.12c or later. If you're using an older version of Pegasus, then I would recommend an upgrade - visit www.pmail.com to download the latest version. It also assumes that Pegasus is already installed with another e-mail account already. As with Outlook, there are two ways to create a new account, one occurs when Pegasus is run for the first time, then other when you need to add another account to an existing installation. When starting for the first time, Pegasus asks some straight forward questions... If you're reconfiguring Pegasus, then you can either run the "Set-up Wizard" again (from the "Internet Options") or add an additional account using the Multi-POP option. I'll run through the setup wizard here. Multi-POP is fairly straight forward as it doesn't need any changes to the SMTP setup. E-mail address: e.g. paul@theplateau.com POP3 server: mail.theplateau.co.uk Username and password: e.g. "paul" and whatever your password is. SMTP Server: mail.theplateau.com Once this is done, a couple of extra settings are required - at least if you're outgoing (SMTP) mailer is "theplateau.co.uk". Select "Internet Options" from the "Tool" menu, select the "Sending (SMTP)" tab, and in the "Authentication area at the bottom, tick the box "Log in using my POP3 settings for username and password". You may also want to go to the "dialing" tab and check the settings for IE4/Win98 dialing functions. Finally, go to "Tools", "Options" and fill in your Personal name with something like "Paul C. Manning" - this is the name others usually see when they receive an e-mail message from you.
