The Plateau runs a standards based Web Server based on Netscape's technology.  At present this means that it does not support Microsoft FrontPage Extensions.  This means that FTP is required to copy webs to and from the server.  

There is an alternative to this called WebDAV, which apparently a standard and is implemented on this server - more information when I've got this running properly.

Contact me (Paul Manning)  if you want a home web page setup on this server - normally this will end up being something like www.theplateau.com/first_name, but of course I can create other extensions - I can even cope with other domain names if required!
