IMAP4 is the new replacement for POP3, it is becoming better supported, Outlook and
Outlook Express both support it. It has several advantages over POP3, mainly because
it keeps the e-mail messages and folders on the server and just syncronises them with
those on your computer. This means having multiple computers accessing your e-mail
is not a problem. However, it is new and (even!!!) I haven't got to grips with it
yet - watch this space.
