Apologies:

1 Minutes of previous meeting
These were accepted as a true record apart from the date of the coastguard visit in item 6.7 which should have been 22nd May not 22nd July.

2 Matters arising
2.1 The donation of £15 from Pennard WI will pay for our stall at Pennard Carnival.

2.2 The BHF have donated heart shaped balloons and flyers for the carnival.

2.3 We will need at least 2 or 3 tables for the stall.

2.4 Betty asked everybody to bring along some 'bric-a-brac' to sell on the stall - no electrical items.

2.5 As we have power (from Howard's generator) Emma will bring along some lights to brighten up the stall.

2.6 We will have a DVD of a defib being used showing continuously on the stall.

2.7 Jeremy will pick up a practice defib and a dummy from the ambulance service this week.

2.8 Betty thanked everybody for their contribution to providing medical cover for the Gower Bike Ride yesterday, which by all accounts was very successful. Helen passed on the thanks of Mali James, the organiser.

3 Revised online rota
After much discussion the standard rota from 1st September 2007 to 1st February 2008 was agreed.

4 Refresher Training
It was agreed to accept our yearly training in two x 4 hour sessions, the first one on a Saturday morning. No date in the immediate future could be found that suited everyone, however it was decided to arrange the first session for Saturday 18th August, from 9am to 1pm in the small room in the community hall. Jeremy will arrange this with Steve Roberts and will also talk to him about the initial training for our new recruits - especially the matter of 30 hours of training.
