| Who holds the scheme's mobile phone? | |
| At the start of every shift whichever
partner holds the mobile phone (telephone number 07973 370309)
should use it to contact Ambulance Control in Carmarthen (the
number's in the phone's memory or you can phone 01267 222555).
Tell them that you are Pennard First Responders and wish to speak to the
incident desk. When they come on the line
inform them that you are on cover until whatever time your shift ends and
are ready to respond to calls. Give your names and PINs. If they ask what our call sign is please tell
them it's 927. When we are required to attend a first responder call, Ambulance Control will call us on the scheme's mobile phone, so this should always be kept nearby. Remember that its battery has to be recharged from time to time, so if you notice the battery bar (on the right side of the screen) is low please use the charger (kept in the green bag) to top up its charge. Ensure that you know how to call your partner's personal mobile phone from the scheme's mobile phone. All our personal mobile phone numbers have been loaded into the memory of the scheme's mobile phone. |

If you don't hold the scheme's mobile phone during your shift, your partner will inform you of a call-out by phoning you on your personal mobile phone or your land line phone. Please ensure that your mobile phone (if you have one) is switched on and to hand throughout your shift - just in case your land line is engaged! |
